Bummer - I enjoyed his eerie, looming presence in the 12 Monkeys series, although I must admit to never fully getting over his role in Robocop 2... His face portrayed in that primitive CG render on the screen of the evil, tripped-out Robocop 2... I always kinda flashed back to that when I saw him.

Thanks to a recent recommendation by @triciaaurand.bsky.social we are now halfway through Atlantic Crossing, a PBS Masterpiece series about the Crown Princess of Norway’s flight to America after the Nazi invasion of her home. Excellent, and agree w Tricia: Kyle MacLachlan is a surprise treat as FDR!

Residents across Chicago celebrate paczki — the fried, jam-filled Polish pastries — every year on Fat Tuesday, better known to some as Paczki Day.

But for the Polish community, paczki are eaten on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. https://to.wttw.com/4bYTDbV
You’ve Heard About Fat Tuesday, But What About Fat Thursday? Here’s Where Chicago’s Polish Community Gets Their Paczki
Paczki Day is coming up on Tuesday, but ask any Polish native and chances are they’ve already celebrated tłusty czwartek, or Fat Thursday, this week.

I am properly fixed for Pączki Day courtesy of my wife and Reuter’s Bakery at Grand & Harlem. We miss having Bennison’s nearby but Reuter’s is pretty great, too!

Incredible read… You may be unsurprised to learn that Google 1) is organizationally incompetent, and 2) does not understand art.
Truly shocking: Artist Judy Chicago's tale in Artnet of working with Google on the redesign of the former Thompson Center atrium is a horror story - incompetent, slipshod management meets corporate bureaucracy on steroids...

What it was like to be a bush at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance
The bushes on the field during the halftime show became a meme after the internet found out they were actually human performers.
