Maybe watching a bunch of psychotic losers deputized by a corrupt federal government gang up on and subsequently murder a bearded, average white guy because they felt like it made it clear they weren't exempt just because they were wearing team colours?
Wow, the MAGA pigs really have lost even the Reddit conservative community now - the one that WAS on board with “well, killing Renee Good was justified because she was a lesbian bitch”

I will be honest; at the beginning of the week I was willing to start slow. But now it's clear we're out of time. Not another cent for DHS. Period.

And if the Democrats can't be a united front on this, then they cannot be trusted to be the opposition party we need right now.
On the execution in Minnesota: Obviously, the individuals involved should be held accountable. But responsibility goes to the top of ICE and CBP, and DHS. Their appropriations come up next week in the senate. Not a cent for DHS without pulling ICE and CBP off the streets, in MN and everywhere else.

There's really only one way to understand her: she enjoys a certain lifestyle and will say and do whatever she has to in order to continue enjoying that lifestyle. Subservience is preferable to being poor, which is a conversation America doesn't want to have (especially in Bezos' Washington Post.)
There are many ways to understand Blaire White.

Here’s one: She is a trans woman in Donald Trump’s America who, when she talks about losing her rights, appears primarily concerned with losing her guns.
Blaire White is trans, MAGA and extremely online. It’s a living.
She may be the online right’s favorite trans influencer. How influential could she be?

You better believe Altman will pay Trump whatever they have to pay in order for the government to bail OpenAI out. However, financially speaking, it only buys a bit more time. Wall Street is out of patience, so when the bubble bursts, it's going to be seismic.
OpenAI faces a $20bn black hole in its accounts this year, as a series of buy now, pay later deals with suppliers start to come due

It makes 2026 a make-or-break moment for the company, raising questions about whether it could buckle under the weight of its commitments

“But the surprise of the moment has been the extraordinary solidarity that ordinary Americans have shown with immigrants and against Trump-Miller-Vance's parade of ethnonationalist horrors.”

This is the reason we’re going to win.
The deeper issue is Miller and maybe Vance want people who are eager to show solidarity with immigrants to fear state violence.

They want us to fear Trump is capable of the worst.

I try to develop a theory of the moment here. 5/5

It's a start.

It's not the end, because that will have to be done by a left-wing administration and legislature. But considering who is in charge of Congress, it's a start.
Per Eric Michael Garcia of The Independent, the Democrats scored some major reforms, guardrails and cutbacks on ICE and CPB funding to secure an appropriations bill for DHS:
-restricts ICE to spending $3.8 billion of its annual budget
on detention as opposed to being able to spend $10 billion
