Reading old books makes you realize that a significant percentage of the English language has been sequestered by the topic of sex. I do not know why this is.

Naive acceptance of player feedback is so dangerous to the quality of a game. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE player feedback. I'm addicted to it. But I've also spent decades learning to parse and interpret it well.
One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

It took my wife over 15 years of intense research and advocacy to find the specialists who could diagnose her EDS, heart and lung diseases and other issues that torment her daily. We can't move from this area now lest we start that process over. This system sucks.

So... we all saw this coming right? The combination of bespoke LLMs feeding the biases of those who demand it. The search for any overlapping methodological or epistemic common ground is looking increasingly bleak.

The latest Cloudflare and Amazon outages have got me thinking about utilities. We can't build modern software without dependencies. The days of running entirely on the client are over, which I see as a good thing. The cost is that we rely on infrastructure.
