Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

Wikipedia HERO

A guy discovered a faked photo of a rare blue gas on Wikipedia. So he SYNTHESIZED THE GAS HIMSELF so that he could photograph it. Yesterday he updated the article with this real photo of trifluoronitrosomethane:

Spain is one of @esa.int's founding states and home to our space science centre, ESAC, and contributes 4.7% to the Ariane 6 programme.

Spanish companies Airbus, @thalesaleniaspace.bsky.social, Sener, GTD, Inventia Kinetics and HV Sistemas all contribute to Europe’s heavy-lift launcher.

I just watched V/H/S/Halloween, and the best segment is "Ut Supra Sic Infra", the one made by Paco Plaza, the director of the movie "[REC]".

That series of movies (except the first two) aren't that great, but I can't stop watching them around every Halloween (when they usually release a new one).

Reducir la importación de combustibles fósiles también significa reducir miles de toneladas de CO2 y demás contaminantes en todo su transporte.

Recordemos que esos combustibles llegan de lugares tan lejanos como la Península Arábiga o América del Norte o del Sur.

I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

I always thought how bad some AI companies (small ones) will do when the AI bubble burst, but I didn't know how many software companies are shoving AI into projects that don't need it.

They are fuelling the AI hype and probably they will make losses in the long term. #EconSky

Just another reason to not have internet in devices that don't need it. This is utterly ridiculous.

I think someone on the BlueSky web dev team forgot to add a 404 on its base website :-)

I find pretty funny how Avalonia uses ICommand in .NET to enable and disable buttons in the user interface. It works like some commands in "programmable" test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.) sent by GPIB to avoid anyone controlling the device while in remote/batch usage :-)

My Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X review.

The top phrases running through my mind while testing it:

"Someone's getting fired for greenlighting this launch"

"This is not an Xbox"

"If this is the future of Xbox, Xbox is screwed."

Went with the middle.

But reading datasheets is part of the fun!

I'm sure I am not the only one who reads them even from chips I've never used or never going to use, specially the application notes ;-)

Europe’s pioneering chip facilities are here.

Two semiconductor projects in 🇩🇪, one in 🇦🇹 and 🇮🇹 got Integrated Production Facility and Open EU Foundry status.

They’ll benefit from faster permitting and early access to pilot lines, boosting production and resilience ↓

They are on the expensive side right now, but someday maybe not that much...

#PlayStation announced how they're collaborating with AMD in hardware to implement more efficient machine learning (FSR) systems, dedicated ray-tracing cores, and to compress GPU memory to use less of it.

That means the future PS6 won't be much powerful as the PS5, and I think is good.

I never thought some people would make such an effort to make bootlegged physical media of shows and movies to sell online...

I think this video about that (check its comments) from Alec (Technology Connections) shows up in a perfect time when streaming companies are in decay:
