This conspiracy theory calls immigrants invaders of the White nation and Black Americans invaders of the White neighborhood. Great replacement theory presents mass deportation and mass incarceration as the solutions.

Any Black person who is anti-immigrant is anti-Black.

Arrayed on a piece of parchment paper, most of the following are in their own bowl or container: diced onion, diced carrots, chopped dried figs. Rosemary and bay leaves, salt. Oil. Pepper, garlic, crushed tomatoes, Pinot noir. Those are all arrayed clockwise around four beef short ribs.

Dinner was running late today so I didn't take a picture of this quiche before I cut into it to serve and I didn't take a picture of my plate before I took a few bites. @cafenowhere.bsky.social agreed this hit the spot. 🍽️ 🍜
In a glass pie dish, three quarters of a quiche sits, waiting to be served. The quiche has a golden crust that isn't burnt and is filled with spinach, ham, cheese, and bits of onion and garlic. The piece that is missing came out cleanly with only a few small flakes sitting where it is gone. On a white dinner plate sits a partially eaten slice of quiche. A fork sits guiltily on the edge of the plate. Guilty but self satisfied.

Hi folks. It's taco Tuesday. I think this counts. It's a smoked salmon wrap served with a cucumber orange salad, some baked chips and a small amount of golden beet kraut. I side the wrap with the salmon: small shrimp, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and some lemon herb aioli. 🍽️ 🍜
A large sundried tomato tortilla / wrap sits on a dinner plate almost covering the whole plate. On the tortilla is a good amount of flaked smoked salmon, diced tomato and cucumber, small cooked shrimp, bib lettuce, and quick pickled onions. A bit of lemon herb aioli has been smeared on one side of the tortilla, ready to wrap. On a white dinner plate, the tortilla has been wrapped up around the fillings and cut in two to show off some of the inside. A salad of cucumber moons, supremed orange slices, mint and a light vinaigrette sits on the plate next to a handful of my baked chips. The chips almost cover the golden beet kraut on the back of the plate.

I've been crocheting a scarf and hat for my sister to keep her warm in Canada. Meanwhile I made this eggplant parmesan with a side of pasta to keep me warm. 🍽️ 🍜
On a white dinner plate a mound of fettuccine topped with red pasta sauce and grated parmesan cheese on the right. On the left a stack of eggplant layered with mozzarella and the same pasta sauce as on the pasta. The eggplant was first coated in breadcrumbs and pan fried. The top layer of mozzarella has been lightly browned as the dish baked in the oven.

I always like the sky when it is colored by the setting sun.

Tried a new recipe today. Jacket potatoes with aubergine. Good blend of flavors and textures. It isn't just potatoes and eggplant. It also has cherry tomatoes, chili pepper, onions, garlic,crème fraîche, and toasted pine nuts. It was a good dinner. 🍽️ 🍜
On a white dinner plate: a baked potato topped with roasted vegetables including eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and onions. The veggies have a generous dollop of the crème fraîche, some pine nuts. And it is sprinkled with harissa. A fresh cherry tomato cut in half is placed as decoration on the plate. The tines of a fork rest on the right side of the plate.

Is this really a food? I put some things on a sheet pan and this is what turned out. It was good. Served with some grainy Dijon mustard. 🍽️ 🍜
On a half sheet pan, carrots, long sticks of butternut squash, and three polish sausage links have been roasted and some bits of kale and carrot greens have been added on top. The carrots have stems attached. On a white dinner plate three of the carrots, which are skinny, sit alongside bits of the butternut squash and one and a half sausage links. The sausage has been crosshatched with a knife before cooking. Some greens sit on the back of the plate, ready to be shoved aside. Not shown the Dijon mustard I used for dipping.

Warm up after being out in the world with a home made broccoli cheddar soup. It took over an hour to make and less than 20 minutes to eat. Yummy with some home made croutons too...the second batch because I burnt the first batch of croutons. 🍽️ 🍜
In a white dinner bowl, chunks of broccoli florets swim in a cheesy soup. Little bits of carrots are in there too, but hard to see. Four large croutons sit on the soup and a light drizzle of olive oil has been added as if the soup were not already creamy enough. Grab a spoon.

Folks, I made a delicious mistake today. The deluxe nachos at Wig and Pen in Coralville apparently feed 4 or so people. The server politely asked if I wanted them for my dinner and didn't blink when I said yes. I got chorizo with them so leftovers will make great migas. The lights are very red.
On a somewhat messy table a quarter sheet pan is covered in a mass of tortilla chips smothered in cheeses, chorizo, jalapenos, and cherry tomatoes. A bowl of salsa and a smaller bowl of sour cream accompany the nachos on the sheet pan. The soup spoons in the salsa and sour cream show just how much food there is based on size comparison. I barely made a dent folks, even with some assistance. The photo is very red for some reason.

There is absolutely no need to give the “benefit of the doubt” to a government official who accepted a $50k bribe. Nor can you claim that official knows the difference between right and wrong. And suggesting that ICE kidnap people in the middle of the night is disgusting. So disappointed in Walz.
