Soldiers at the Bass Pro Shops pyramid in Memphis, TN.
Finished my "rough draft" of my most recent project.

59 poems, 108 pages, 19,718 words. Not bad for about a month's work!
A friend asked me to pass along an anthology funding on Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/165...

It's a tie-in for their TTRPG system, so the stories should all be steampunky goodness. Check it out!

Book mail day! I love getting to see my name on the covers. . . and the stories inside are going to be FUN.
Two books, side by side: Vampires Save The Day/Night and The Year's Top Tales of Space and Time.
For those who aren't aware, I periodically run a workshop called Developing Our Voices, which gathers writers and gives them a chance to get comfortable reading their own work out loud.

If anyone is interested in participating in the next one, please DM me, and I'll try to get one scheduled. <3

As someone who is neurodiverse and on the spectrum, I have thoughts on that presidential big announcement about autism. Here we go!

We've always been around. We'll always be here. Living, seeing, loving, dying. 1/

huge dragon (only the head visible) resting in a body of water in a forest. Lots of vines and tree branches dangling down, a stream running over its head and a great white egret taking off from the water next to it. a mermaid with a pink tail resting on a rock and leaning back on her hands as her tail comes out of the water. In the background is a lagoon and some cliffs and further back the hint of a waterfall a precarious tall hill with a wizard's house sitting on top of it with a wisp of smoke coming out of the chimney. It is dusk and all the windows are yellow with the light from inside. a large winged blue dragon prepares to land on a nest with two baby blue dragons waiting in the nest for their dinner.
:( I'd offer a hug of support, but, y'know. . . at a distance. :(

While this is far more of a wish, a dream, or a poem, I hope that Augur takes it in the spirit it's intended. <3

Hell Itself opened today and released a darkly beautiful story by @deborahldavitt.com, "Reaping Whirlwinds."

Look for our second story on Friday, September 12!

Writers often advise, "Keep submitting that story till Hell itself won't have it."

Well, now there is a magazine called Hell Itself that specializes in those stories that, for whatever reason, don't fit.

My story, "Reaping Whirlwinds," is their first publication!

I’ve made an update to this situation.
open.substack.com/pub/pacornel...
This is an interesting and important read if you want to know about contracts, negotiations and the ongoing situation regarding MRM.
September newsletter just dropped! In which I discuss some contract woes and take a deep dive into an AI nightmare. (Aside from the usual updates).

As we hit the 3/4 mark of a very, very long year, I thought I'd celebrate a bit with the stuff I've managed to bring into the world this year.
