Mehdi was right and, also, Trump has obviously never had a problem with inflicting suffering on people. He just resents commitments. As in his personal life...
I hate to say I told you so but… I told you so.

What is the point of inserting the word "concerns" into this headline, other than to obscure the utterly brazen corruption Trump is engaged in?

This whole Van Hollen trip is evidence for @joshtpm.bsky.social’s theory that one of the things limiting the effectiveness of so many people’s resistance to Trump is lack of imagination to try creative tactics.
Okay I take back my confusion. Van Hollen just posted this as well. He got to meet with Mr. Abrego.

Diplomatic pressure 100% worked.

On Friday night, HHS ordered CDC to take down all flu vaccine campaign materials from its website. Materials are starting to come down.
For example, a campaign explaining that flu shot can reduce flu severity from "wild to mild" is now offline. Left image is from Friday, right is now

In light of the new regime's full scale, vicious attack on trans folks, I'd hope those liberals who deemed it necessary to spend millions of pixels explaining why we really did need to keep scrutinizing med care for trans minors now realize they were just playing into the hands of that malevolence.

Yes!!! Say more of this!!! It’s the most astonishingly, openly corrupt administration in US history, literally from the first day, and it’ll only get worse. They aren’t even trying to hide it. It’s a degree of corruption that could destabilize the whole country, the whole world.
The story of this first week is corruption. Billionaires seated on the inaugural stage in front of the cabinet, crypto pump and dump, and the illegal firing of IGs. The media is acting like this is too chaotic and bewildering to interpret, but they are just afraid of sounding shrill. It’s corrupt.

Terrorizing undocumented immigrants, shutting down DEI efforts and demonizing trans folks should make people feel much better about their ability to pay the rent and afford groceries, amirite?

But, but, but, I thought the Republican Party is the party of the working class?!

If so, what are the billionaires paying for?!

Add this to what will be a *long* list of anti-labor moves.
November 21, 2024 at 10:17 PM
Let's just keep a running tally of all the anti-labor actions carried out by Trump and his ilk.
This has gone completely under the radar.

But it’s important.

A Trump-appointed judge just overturned Biden’s overtime rule that would have helped 4 million salaried workers with lower incomes ($35K to $58k).

Employers “promote” these workers to “manager” roles so they don’t have to pay overtime.
