Don’t get us wrong, this is the BARE minimum, and it’s pointless if the Dems don’t negotiate significant ICE funding cuts (we want our $75 billion back, Chuck) before funding DHS.

But it is something, and we are thankful for that step.

(1/2) The 7 Senators who joined Democrats in voting against this bill: Rand Paul (Ky.), Ted Budd (N.C.), Ron Johnson (Wis.), Mike Lee (Utah), Ashley Moody (Fla.), Rick Scott (Fla.) and Tommy Tuberville (Ala.).

They deserve some credit, but we must keep the pressure on them to stand strong.
To my colleagues in the Senate: Hold the line.

Here’s the deal, they captured my face standing outside of my kid’s preschool in a high-viz vest. The database is going to be so big it’ll be useless. Employers will ask why you aren’t in the database and unless you explain you were doing mutual aid, the people hiring will think you’re a bad person.
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

-Noem will face a Senate hearing and possible impeachment
-Senate Dems will oppose unconditional extension of DHS funding

The pushback is working.

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

Look at this actual hero!! A shining example of Minnesota's finest.
In Minnesota, a man arrived with personal protective equipment for the citizens of Minneapolis.

Keep the pressure up. They're getting more and more desperate by the day. And we will not let them off the hook so easily.
Greg Bovino demoted.
Not a coincidence. Not a favor.
It’s fallout.

The pressure is working & Kristi Noem could be next.
Accountability doesn’t happen quietly.
It happens because people refuse to look away.

Accountability isn’t mercy.
It’s overdue.

Keep pushing.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

All the more reason to keep the pressure up. There are more of us. We will win this fight.
Border Patrol is pulling out of Minneapolis. Bovino is ending his punitive tour of blue cities. Calls for Noem's resignation are mounting, even in conservative media. Senate Democrats are dug in now on refusing to fund DHS and ICE. "Abolish ICE" is now a mainstream position.

They are losing.
