Health Canada has authorized the LP.8.1 variant adapted Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for individuals aged 6 months and older.

The updated COMIRNATY® vaccine targets the Omicron LP.8.1 variant, one of the most recently circulating SARS-CoV-2 lineages. It will be made available this Fall across Canada.

Jim Till was not only an amazingly gracious and generous scientist, he was a true advocate for young researchers, women in science and accessibility of data. A 🇨🇦 giant.
UHN marks the passing of Dr. James Till, whose work with Dr. Ernest McCulloch first demonstrated the existence of blood-forming stem cells in 1961 at Ontario Cancer Institute, now Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

His work has helped launch the field of #stemcell science.
