Six months ago, Pauline couldn't imagine walking long distances with her chronic pain from a decade-old injury. Two sessions into Pain Reprocessing Therapy with Dr. Andrea Furlan, chronic pain expert and physiatrist at UHN, she walked 12,000 steps home.

Today the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation announced an unprecedented donation. The $50 million gift, donated by Peter Gilgan Foundation, will establish the Peter Gilgan Centre for Early Cancer Detection Research at UHN's Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
