In stories with anti-heroes, there’s a thin line where the audience could empathize or recoil from them. We tend to slip more to the latter.

There’s no doubt in my mind that one of the worst things our parents can do to us is to flood our senses with “love” and affection when we’re putting up boundaries. It’s this pattern that will perpetuate for years to come especially if they began in a young age.
