It is difficult to escape because the wound is so deep. It’s not impossible though. Try to practice not blaming ourselves so much.

It spreads doubt and mindlessness in situations where it should’ve been keeping my soul alive like writing.

I do not want to go back but the pull is astonishing.

This type of narcissism with extreme self-blame and self-guilt from withheld attention is what brings us to focus on them and not on us. Then we wonder why we felt so empty and devastated and frustrated all these years. It’s a quiet game that destroys children’s dreams.
