Cutch passed another important milestone in a Pirates' jersey on Sunday, and he did it because he loves this team and this city a lot more than the men running this franchise do
Game 60: Pirates 4 Padres 6
Most of the talk concerning Sunday's game will be about Don Kelly's bullpen management and Tanner Rainey giving up the game (and the series) in the 7th inning, but that's not what I'll remember from it. The Pirates are too far back in the playoff chase to really get worked up about a manager's late-inning pitching decisions, and anyway it's not like the Bucs are a smart skipper away from being a competitive ballclub.

The 2025 Pittsburgh Pirates are a miserable experience. I don't have much to say beyond that.
Game 48: Reds 7 Pirates 1
This is so miserable. I don't have anything else to say, or any real analysis beyond that. Watching the offense struggle is miserable. Seeing once-solid relievers like David Bednar and Colin Holderman get crushed is miserable. Knowing that the starting pitcher's fabulous outing will be wasted — as the Bucs did once again with Mitch Keller on Monday — is miserable.
