Is the (very dumb) calculus to avoid any further “shutdown” drama, then have the republicans own a vote to mess up healthcare, then lay that pain at their feet with no responsibility on dems?
Voters don’t…think like that? And they’ll hate everyone in politics if their premiums go up 8x? Sigh.

I don’t understand senate dems voting to end the shutdown without extracting concessions…but also has the house even come back to negotiate?! Why cave unilaterally?
