idk dude after seeing how many protestors are being swept up weeks and months later and how many more protest leaders have died since, telling people "don't put your legal name on a public list of people who intends to hold an anti-government demonstration" seems like sound advice 🤷♀️

This 50501 statement sucks so bad. They say they're "rooted in peaceful advocacy" & won't "endanger law enforcement"... they "expect" people to "act lawfully" & "disavow any disruption or violence" & work in accordance with the police

Really cannot overemphasize that if you feel hopeless and furious over the state of things, go do something in your community. It’s not only what needs to happen, it feels SO good. It can be whatever you have capacity for. Go walk some shelter dogs if you can’t deal w people, that 100% counts.

I know many things are terrible including things that deeply harm me and people I love but as I cautiously emerge from burnout and social isolation I am reminded how much good there is. So many people and places and things to love and give bits of my heart to. ❤️

I've been through a boxer's break (not from punching, from a bike crash, my dad taught me how to punch). You don't want that.
Reminder that unless you actually have practice throwing punches and you know you’re good at it, use your elbows. It’s so easy to break your hand punching the wrong way and doing that takes you OUT.

Are local folks who left FB hearing about the (mostly Ho-Chunk) people being profiled and harassed by ICE agents in the area the last few days? Tomah, La Crosse, and Osseo. Unfortunately light on details. One was reported as a solid black SUV.
This is Ho-Chunk land and ICE should get off of it.

Some of what Trump is attempting to do is unlawful, but some of his shadier maneuvers will likely be supported by the courts. SCOTUS is on his side. I don't say this to discourage people, but as a reminder that the law cannot be our bottom line. Our obligation is to each other, not the law.
