Somebody needs to put this one right alongside his televised Q&A with the lapdog WH Press Corps the day after Renee Gold was murdered. The one where he claimed masked, secret, militarized immigration agents have "absolute immunity" and that Renee Gold was a "domestic terrorist." Shameless.
oh i see they sent JD out again to eat shit
JD Vance: "I didn't say that officers who engaged in wrongdoing would enjoy immunity. That's absurd. What I did say is that when federal law enforcement officers violate the law that's typically something federal officials would look into. We don't want these guys to have kangaroo courts."

100 cosponsors and 30k letters sent to Congress for impeaching Noem in a week is something special.

But we aren’t even close to the finish line, so let’s keep pushing!

If every Democrat voted NO on funding ICE, it would not have passed the House. But, 7 House Democrats voted to fund Trump's lawless, masked goons, so it passed.

Hakeem Jeffries refused to whip his members to vote against ICE funding. Genuinely unforgivable.
NEW: DHS appropriations bill funding ICE passes 220-207

7 Democrats voted YES on the bill:
- Jared Golden
- Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
- Henry Cuellar
- Tom Suozzi
- Laura Gillen
- Don Davis
- Vicente Gonzalez

One Republican voted NO: Thomas Massie

Repeat after me - the institutions of this economy depend on the institutions of this democracy, among which is the rule of law
Jack Smith: "My fear is that we have seen the rule of law function in our country for so long that many of us have come to take it for granted. The rule of law is not self-executing. It depends on our collective commitment to apply it."

National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

"OK, quick follow up, do you realize when you say locking up a five-year-old coming home from preschool is 'making America a safer place' that normal people will think you're an insanely racist piece of shit?"
Q: Do you have any moral or ethical qualms about detaining a five-year-old on his way back from preschool?

Lie. They're signed by ICE officers. Not administrative law judges. bsky.app/profile/reic...
This is 100% FALSE. Immigration judges do NOT play any role in issuing administrative warrants. They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves. ICE’s own training materials say they can’t be used for a search of a home!

Here’s a blank warrant form. Note who signs it.

People want to have their basic needs met.

They want to be paid a living wage.

They want to stop being nickle and dimed by powerful corporations who control so much of our lives.

They do not want Venezuela.

They do not want Greenland.

They do not want masked thugs terrorizing our communities.

"The rule of law is not self-executing." This, from Smith's testimony, is the central reason this hearing and his efforts are so important. It's a reminder that the law is not being executed faithfully or consistently at the moment.

They're sadistically torturing the people of Minnesota and targeting children to provoke a violent response that they'll then use to justify martial law.
They are targeting children because they are trying incite violence. I have talked to many journalists today, and they all made the same observation: Border Patrol and ICE have been rolling around with maximum aggression, lingering for ages as crowds, gather, seemingly trying to cause a riot.

Congratulations to the judges of the 8th circuit. ICE got your message loud and clear.
This video filmed by Ben Luhmann shows the moment a federal agent sprayed chemical irritants directly into a man's face in south Minneapolis.

Three agents already had the man pinned to the ground when a fourth agent walked up and sprayed the irritants.

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
