We can’t keep punishing people for not finding jobs which don’t actually exist.

And regulating the victims of that is not the answer
It’s going down the “but what were you wearing” track.
Regulate the giants not the users.

Of course, but I have never understood why Australia is even in Eurovision.

I agree. Then, when the kids turn 16 (or as soon as they can convince the sites they are over 15) we unleash the algorithms on them, ready or not. Better if we force social media companies to clean up their act for the benefit of all.

I have a few that manage to survive brutal Adelaide summers in shady spots, though they do need a bit of morning sun to flower. I hope you can save some flowers this year.

What a relief for you! The number of times I drove to my (now departed) Mum's house in a panick when not answering her phone, only to find she hadn't hung up properly.

I'm ok with not having a popularly elected PM. The massive amounts of cash spent on popularly elected presidential campaigns in the US ensures that only elites get to run. Our system isn't perfect, but it's pretty good.

In Australia we don't need a snap election. We don't vote for a Prime Minister, so the elected members of the winning party choose their leader and can replace them at any time. We got a bit over enthusiastic with replacing leaders a while ago, but it's still a good safeguard to have.

Oh, wow. This needs to be shared far and wide. If Tim Wilson is keeping/accessing type of data, who else is doing so and using it to shape responses or action/inaction to legitimate constituent issues, irrespective of the political leaning. #auspol

I don't buy that Thompson was trying to flush out the ex's supporters. The messaging in his public statement would encourage other men who believe they've been "pushed too far". As for the deputy commissioner, I doubt he would have said that if his boss were a man.
