It's not either/or. I think the business model here is deeply deficient and there are a million problems, but I think this core idea I see a lot here "the tech sucks and is useless" is both obviously untrue and leading to some dangerous thinking that everything is going to take care of itself.

I think this interview gives the game away about Dems and their position on ICE/DHS. They’re still giving into fascist framing of an immigration problem. Nothing will fundamentally change, (and they don’t want it to!) they just want people to stop yelling about it and for it to be done quieter
