You know those stories about how the magic of Christmas miraculously restores your faith in humanity? It isn't working.

So every single person I have spoken to this year has said this. It sucks. Hardcore.
Look….. I know I’m an adult so it’s different…… but I feel like this year’s Christmas is the least Christmas-y I’ve ever experienced.

Personally, because of all of the horror we’ve had this year. But also commercially, I feel like even companies are phoning it in or not even acknowledging it.

Anti-abortion activists in the US have created a new chatbot to dissuade people from abortion using misinformation and deception - the two main strategies of "crisis pregnancy centres." This is basically a digital CPC designed to reach many more people.

Watch attempts to use the horrific mass shooting in Australia as “proof” that gun safety laws don’t work

Bondi is Australia’s first deadly mass shooting in 3 years

Brown is USA’s first deadly mass shooting in 3 days

And the 15th deadly & 389th overall mass shooting of 2025

There is no comparison

ICE PEPPER SPRAYED A ONE-YEAR-OLD because her mother was filming them.
ICE pepper-sprayed this 1-year-old girl.

Once at the hospital, the doctor had to call in a poison control specialist.

They had never seen anyone that young pepper sprayed.

Another horrific story.

A 43-year-old father of two, Ahmed al Ahmed, snuck up & tackled a gunman to disarm him. Ahmed was shot twice.

Both Jewish & Muslim faiths teach that “to save one life is to save all humanity.” Let us hold fast to our humanity.❤️

Wanted to make a longer post about the mass shooting at Brown and found this post about Sandy Hook from 2012 and how sad is it that I can literally copy paste the exact same post because gun violence has only gotten worse without federal legislation to stop the ~40K annual preventable gun deaths.😓

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.
