Opinion | How Trump Has Used the Presidency to Make at Least $1.4 Billion
The president took an oath to serve the American people. Instead, he’s focused his second term on enriching himself and his family.

Today marks one year of President Trump’s second term, and it’s been a year of rising costs.

Groceries, rent, energy bills — all going up with no end in sight.

President Trump: what happened to your promise to make America more affordable for working people?

This is truly enraging. She could have lived. We will never know…because a physician was not allowed to help her. #JusticeForReneeGood
MN Doctor: I learned that Renee Good still had a pulse 8 minutes after she was shot by an ICE agent. Yet the offer to administer aid from a physician on the scene was denied. I can't say how much that stirs the blood of everyone here as we try to fulfill our oath to care for the people of Minnesota

Thank you, AFL-CIO, for convening this annual event! Gathering to share best practices with fellow unions & AFT locals is a fitting way to embody Dr. King’s legacy.

This. There is no excuse.
This is a reckless, heinous act of violence against an American citizen. The officer must be held accountable. DHS must stop lying about the horror that was caught on video. ICE must leave our communities immediately.

This act of war should should be universally condemned.
The US attack on Venezuela is an illegal act of aggression against a sovereign country (with lots of oil). Venezuela has become a more deeply repressive dictatorship & urgently needs democratic solution but this is unjustified & unjustifiable. Look forward to seeing swift UK Government condemnation.

The US Ed Dept is harming students across the country. We need more community schools not fewer, and cutting funding that was already approved is both unlawful and irresponsible. Proud that @aft.org is fighting the harm directed at our schools and students in every way possible. #communityschools

So many gems in this article from @jessehagopian.bsky.social!

“Against this project of forgetting, educators across the country have responded with something far more powerful than compliance or retreat: organized remembering…It is a refusal to normalize mandated lying to children about the past.”

I had to watch Alabama's ban on gender affirming care for minors go into effect. It impacted multiple people in my life. It is cruel beyond words.

Pick up the phone. Call all of your reps. Don't tell me it won't matter--I call Tommy Tuberville. EVERY FUCKIN' TIME. I won't gift them silence on this.
This is possibly the most significant attack on trans rights in this country yet, and I can count the number of posts on my timeline about this on my hands.

If you're trying to dismiss this thinking "It'll die in the senate," DON'T! Sound the alarms now!
Bluesky tonight is neatly divided between trans people and family members appropriately angry and freaking out and everyone else who has barely noticed.
