30. Thank you for appreciating rainbow pebbles with me this month.
Last week in dream group, a dream someone shared led to the question:

"What to do if one needs help, but the 'helpers' are harmful?"

It simmered down overwhelming and unrelenting headlines to one precise quandary, and that essence has helped me better see my role (and potential role) in things.
You may imagine this is a deeply woo-woo workshop-

But I actually think of it as quite agnostic, and political - focused on forging a discerning relationship with our intuitions and noticing the cultural myths and manipulations that influence and form us.
Dream study requires that we look at ourselves embedded in a dominant culture that actively - through advertising, social and mass media, and propaganda -attempts to shape our thoughts and behaviors by activating our instinctive reactions...

It's just deeply wild to hear this from an administration which treats its people like prey.

Bay Area people, do you have a favorite spot to see fall foliage in the East Bay? Does this exist? I take in these kinds of things passively (oh, nice tree!) and then never note it down.

Feeding America is a great organization to donate to, 98% of the money goes to programs and services and for each dollar they can provide 10 meals. If you donate $5 that’s 50 meals. It’s a national org that rescues, stores and distributes food to foodbanks and pantries. www.feedingamerica.org

This is what I fully expect to happen.
It would be incredibly funny if the White House construction project turns out to he a series of bungles and so it just remains partially destroyed

One surprising thing about sharing your dreams w/ others -- well one, that there exists a group of people genuinely interested in listening. We can start there.
Here is something strengthening you can do with other people:
Anyway - PLENTY of seats open -

and I try to reserve four free seats for every group I facilitate - the rest are "pay-whatever-you-can-afford" by donation.

This system actually consistently takes care of me!

So please feel free to join if you are interested!

When real-life headlines read like they come out of nightmares, it's a lifeline to have your dreams sift through the barrage of daily images and offer up one that's informative, helpful, insightful -- and then have a community of people just talk about it together.

Our brains are trying to help us.

Ok: sorry for all the boosting but its fall and life is revving up again:

Listening to your dreams is necessary praxis in a time of collective crisis.

This is why when I had a dog I narrated my goings-on out loud in the third person using my first name. I wanted her to know, so that when we were in group settings and someone used my name she could follow the conversation. 😂
Do you ever think about how your cat doesn't know your name? You use their name but what do they call you in their heads? How do they think about you? Are you a voice? A scent? Is there some kind of designation for that in their mind?

Not for nothing, but I really advocate for sitting by a campfire listening to someone tell an ancient story. This still happens in the world. It will make you feel deeply human and the feeling will linger into the next day, at least. Ask me for an invite to the next one in Oakland.
if you really want to stick it to Disney, and other corporate media giants, become fascinated by things they would never produce, so that they might fade into the background noise of life.
