On Tuesday night, a very nice man at the gym told me, “you’re killing it!” I won’t lie, it made me feel good.

So today I found out that my TED talk ‘This is What a Digital Coup Looks Like’ was TED’s most watched talk of the year.

It’s sort of amazing & terrifying. Because this *is* what a digital coup looks like.

I've loved Sigourney Weaver ever since one of my all-time favorite movies, ALIEN. Couldn't resist going all fanboy on her yesterday & asking for a photo. She told me she's now in the cast of The Mandalorian. Talk about bad timing: she's now in that galaxy far, far away, years after I checked out! 💔

This has to be the best extremely dark comedy I have seen in a long time. Also Donald Westlake’s novel The Ax never goes out of style. Would love to reread it!

“Hamnet” is a somber—and at times punishing—adaptation that draws on speculative work that imagines the grief William Shakespeare and his wife felt after losing their son, David Sims writes—and when the film is at its best, it “embraces the unknowability of this premise.”
‘Hamnet’ Is Miserable, and Proud of It
Chloé Zhao’s film depicts the inspiration for “Hamlet” as a relentlessly woeful tale.

My contribution to the "Matthew Lillard is good" conversation is that I liked his directorial debut FAT KID RULES THE WORLD, one of those too-rare movies set in Seattle and actually filmed here instead of Vancouver.
Fat Kid Rules the World | VERN'S REVIEWS on the FILMS of CINEMA

A buddy and I were talking about how good Matthew Lillard is just last week, oddly enough. So many of his roles must have been next to nothing on the page, but he brings so much energy and depth to it. When he pauses and gets emotional I feel it every time. My eye just loves him on film.
