I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

People often ask, who is even buying houses at these prices in San Diego? Consider that HALF OF ALL HOME BUYERS in the U.S. are age 59 or older, and it's fair to assume the median age is even higher in SD. Many buyers are bringing decades of equity to the table.

I'm surprised at the margin on Prop 50. I was expecting Yes to be 50 - 55%.

I am three hops from Pope John Paul II.
This "three hops" thing means that if the U.S. government accused Joe Blow of being a terrorist, then the government claims legal authority to murder Joe Blow's cousin's babysitter's hairstylist.

He got the prices down so low that the drug companies are actually paying us to take their medicine. I just picked up my prescription and a $353 check from AstraZeneca at the pharmacy!
