Relatedly, my favorite line in all of film is when, in It’s a Wonderful Life, George Bailey exasperatedly asks his wife, “why do we have all these children anyway?”
So many funny narratives from a single graphic. The people in each group who realize they have too many kids are my favorite.

I've come to love It's A Wonderful Life more with each passing year. The selflessness in the face of personal imperfections and external forces of greed? What a movie.

Emily St. James has some really lovely writing on Wonderful Life, too. Makes rewatches all the richer: www.vox.com/culture/2016...
It’s a Wonderful Life is one of the best movies America has ever made about itself
At 70 years old, the film is a message in a bottle from 1946: Hold on, and don’t give up.

I told my girls yesterday that this retro arcade cabinet had my favorite video game on it and then I came upstairs tonight to find them playing it together. 🥰

Oh no. One BIL gave the other an Elon biography for Xmas and my wife did not bite her tongue. 🥰

Honestly B brings me enough joy to not worry about A.
Liverpool have lost nine of their last 12 games. Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp is on Instagram blind ranking American foods 😅

The in-laws decided to move Thanksgiving to a neutral site (rental house) this year to help MIL not work so hard and be stressed and… yeah… that’s not panning out so far.

Really hard to wrap my head around the American president sending national guard troops to American cities to police other Americans and because of that two families will forever be without their loved ones.

Evidence continues to mount that Aggie football and Liverpool are on opposite ends of my sports happiness seesaw.

In another world, AI and specifically LLMs are being developed slowly with an eye towards fidelity and utility instead of as a product designed to capture as much profit as possible as quickly as possible. In that world, no K-12 students interact with it.

Okay funny story. The seven year old has been saying “I got diabetes” the past several weeks any time she gets a fountain drink. Haha. Hilarious. Turns out, that’s what she thought the DIET button on the cup lid stood for.

Reading everyone’s food takes this week has convinced me that more people need to invite me to dinner. I’ll likely eat whatever you prepare happily and be thrilled at the prospect of seconds. Also I do dishes. 😂
