If you're a Google Workspace customer and you have already opted out of gemini for your workspace during the beta, you will need to do so again for GA. Coming by end of this month (April 2025).

Say what you will about Apple vs other laptop manufacturers, but I just upgraded to 2x8TB NVMe drives for $918.

How much does upgrading to 16TB cost with a MacBook? $2,200 for 8TB.

More than double the price for half the storage.

Ephemeral port usage?! This must be an advanced adversary, probably a nation state.
I don't want to scare y'all, but I just checked the @greynoise.io sensor logs and found over 1000 sessions in the last hour that used this sophisticated technique (ie, attempted to download malware over ephemeral ports)!!

A level of Hell that could only be found in DOOM. Bravo.
I made a Doom source port that runs within a PDF file.

PDFs support Javascript, so Emscripten is used to compile Doom to asm.js, which is then run within the PDF engine. Input/output is done by manipulating text input fields.

Louder for the people in the back!

Seriously, this turns "we've always done it this way" into "here's why we do it this way."
It’s too common to not have a record of why decisions were made. Getting the logic documented can help justify change or remind future decision makers about anticipated challenges that might otherwise be forgotten with time.

I know posts about the prior platform aren't the only focus here, but I finally killed my phone's birdie shortcut and added Bluesky instead.

Too many posts from a certain owner plastered over everything.
