In an effort to get a few more seats filled, I can say this much: 1986 / Uncensored / Animated / Japanese language w/ separately projected subtitles. Have personally seen this 35mm print, will be worth the trip if you're able. And that's only 1 of 4!

A "fun size" treat at only a minute long, but still packed with flavor. Where this little project started (largely red), and where it finished (vivid, crisp color w/ a pass of dirt removal) is nothing short of amazing. Great people behind this, and every film based restoration from Kineko.
Happy Halloween! Here is a small treat for you all, a 1964 theatrical 35mm advert asking viewers to Save Free TV against evil, spooky cable & paid TV companies! Featured in the ad are a number of classic monsters, who all deserve a place, especially today! youtu.be/0paCHh3V1P4

Hi-Fi capture of the English Language Dub for Noel's Fantastic Trip (1985), from a retail tape, synced to the Japanese LaserDisc. Stumbled across a *really* good reason to digitize this, but I have to wait a little while for that to play out...

Sasuke's notorious exploding puppy meme only scratches the surface of AnimEigo's surprisingly engrossing Blu-ray release. Looks sharp, sounds fantastic, and moves at a pace that'll keep you saying "Okay, just *one* more...for reals this time". www.mediaocd.com/product-page...

All of this. All of it. Nothing unreasonable said here in the slightest, and nothing to be ashamed of if *you* backed this project, and are (or have been) feeling similarly. Crunchyroll couldn't be bothered to make things right even after softly admitting to dropping the ball. Speaks volumes.
I think what's so frustrating about the Dirty Pair issues for me isn't the mistakes themselves because hey, they happen. Lord knows I've had mistakes slip through before, and things like the disc art switch might not be CR's direct fault, although they should have checked the discs before shipping.

Years of softly searching for this pinup have paid off. Found in an issue of Fanroad from 1988. Scanned & masked the single horizontal crease. Uncertain if it was ever printed larger than 10x14, but know that it was featured on the AnimEigo VHS/Riding Bean Combo LD, along w/ the JP VHS clamshell.

Atari ST. Loading Dragon's Lair II from multiple floppy disks, is not an experience one forgets easily.
What was y'all's first computer? I'm curious what the spread might be like.

Bonus points for sharing some anecdotal memories of your experience with it. 💜

Mine was a Commodore C64C, which I managed to semi-fry one day by knocking a pound coin off an overhead shelf down into a vent. 🫠

Aside from being heavily saturated & hyper competitive, along w/ the addition of A.I. now most assuredly eliminating many people from simpler solo reads (for advertising), how many have an education in legitimate acting, or have attended multiple workshops on proper mic technique / vocal coaching?
Actually I think a big part of the problem is that voice acting is The Job That Everybody Thinks They Can Do (But Can't)™. So one delusion of grandeur quickly begets another.

I promise you, with every fiber of my being, this would have been awful. We're talking full on, retroactive taint to the manga & existing film.
Warner Bros has given up on making a live-action ‘AKIRA’ remake.

In my head, that Crunchyroll logo reads: "Remember who your daddy is". Has that energy.
The fully approved artwork of the Blu-Ray covers that they've provided certainly paints a picture, doesn't it? Because what's that I see on the spine and the back? Yep, that's the Crunchyroll logo all right, which isn't the old Nozomi Entertainment logo that is still there on the Kickstarter account

Are there any limitations to porting NES games to the SNES? Hypothetically, could the entirely library be ported, one by one (as these have been)? Hoping for a few specific games, this was one of them.
Excited to release version 1.0 of my SNES port of the NES game Life Force!

That brightly lit room and giant screen, can't substitute for the dimly lit party rooms & animatronic stages from Chuck E. Cheese in its prime. Am I hallucinating about the animated wall decorations lining those rooms? Everything in this clip feels so sterile, so 'safe', nothing to spark wonder.
Chuck E finally arrived.

And he absolutely, positively does not want to be here.
