I don’t actually have a problem with dump and chase as far as zone entries go, the leafs are good retrievers, I think what’s bugging me is that it seems to be a requirement in their offensive system to put it in a corner or rim it even if they’ve entered with control and that’s the part I don’t like

The Leafs have scored 28 goals in November. 23 of them (82%) have one or more of Tavares, Nylander, or Marner factored in on them. One of the five that wasn't was an empty netter. They are very much still relying on the same skilled players right now, arguably more than usual
I feel what we are witnessing in real time is the creation of a structure so tight that you can plug and play any players into it and still win. We've been living and dying by performance of 4 skilled players for 8 years. That model has been convincingly disproven.
