Frontend Designer at @statamic.com, where I spend my days refining the most beautiful CMS in the world.

I love writing modern ✨CSS✨ straight in DevTools workspaces—I swear I’m the only one doing that… what an amazing workflow.

Funny timing. I was just telling my parents that touch screens in cars are terrible.

(Dad is considering getting a Tesla 😫🤢)
Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars. Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses.

Headlines fade, but the need does not.

In Gaza, homes are still destroyed, food is still scarce and children are still going hungry. As winter ramps up, it’s as important as ever that we not forget about those families still in need.

I’ve just seen a demo with anchor positioning combined with scroll triggered animations.

I honestly think we’ve finally reached the point where we can natively create something of GSAP standard in the browser, which leaves me very excited to play with side projects over holidays 🥳

I don’t need an “end of year review” because this was basically it.

Now this is AI slop. So trashy
It's really sad that Chrome laid off one of the world's best CSS developer-designers, and now they have to fake demos of web features. youtu.be/d8J0vs-bEPE?...

Can’t wait for v6!
🔥 Just tagged Statamic 6 *Alpha 19*.

Probably only more alpha to go before beta with the final launch aimed for January. It's the beginning of an exciting new era.

I’ve been waiting for this ever since scroll-driven animations came out (which were never quite the desired effect for me). So happy it’s here
Scroll-Triggered Animations … with nothing but CSS … oh yeah 🤩

I'm having a lot of fun preparing the V6 update for statamic.com; dropping in the odd Brit culture reference.

I re-watched Love Actually last week (fight me)—so… in it went!

There's also a subtle Blackadder reference in the docs, which I doubt anyone will find.

This guy looks great
for too long, the left wing in this nation has put forward only candidates who represent the "young and cool" or "curmudgeonly" identity groups

finally, lame middle-aged left-wing parents have a candidate we can see ourselves in
I’m running for Congress because we need leaders who will fight, not fold. I recognize this moment, and I’m ready to meet it. #FightDontFold #LanderForNYC #LanderForCongress

ARC Raiders is really quite good—and by good, I mean addictive—once you get into it and play with friends.

Perfect “once the wife goes to bed” game

V6 is going to be sick, as the kids say
We just tagged Statamic 6 ALPHA 18! Such a *tiny* changelog.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use sibling-index() with @supports? Not sure if I'm missing something; I can't get it to work

Mixins are going to be so powerful 💪
CSS is so powerful now, it's amazing looking through older CSS and seeing what can be replaced with a one-liner. I'm on the hunt for snippets that used to be multiple lines of CSS that can now be done in one. Show me what you got!

“When you use a JavaScript framework, that isn’t the end of your work, it’s just the beginning. You still have to write your own code that makes use of that framework. Except now your code is restricted to only what the framework can do.”

I’d even drop “JavaScript” from that sentence 😉

Validates my experience, they’re good for grunt work, best guided by someone who really knows what they’re doing
LLMs are the best for getting to 80% of what you want to achieve, and the absolute worst for getting to 100% of what you want to achieve.
"I have a decent fluency in LLMs, and they have utility, but the absurd degree of over-hype, the way they're being forced on everyone, and the insistence on ignoring the many valid critiques about them make it very difficult to focus on legitimate uses where they might add value."

Leaning towards voting Green for the first time in my life—looks like they have the only inspiring leader in the UK politics
I just joined the Green Party after watching this. Long time voter, never joined before, but the direction they are moving is something I want to be part of.

I have to say, for all my skepticism the iPhone Air has been my favourite iPhone so far, after a week of use.

It has much better battery life than I expected and it feels SO good, even though the screen is massive—I’m coming from a 13 Mini. I can barely feel it in my pocket

Glad I went with the Apple Watch in Space Grey, it's lovely—really nice balance between black and silver (I've had both had previously)

I’m afraid I’m inclined to agree—to the point where I’m starting to wonder if I even want to buy a new iPhone at this point
