NEW: The F.D.A. refused to accept an application from Moderna for its mRNA flu vaccine.

Its reason: The agency did not think Moderna compared the new vaccine to one of the best flu shots available. The company spent $750M+ on a 41,000 person study.

NEW: Federal judges are increasingly furious at what they see as a pattern / playbook of defiance by the Trump administration to court orders in immigration cases — in Minnesota and around the country.

Here’s a look at what they’re seeing: www.politico.com/news/2026/02...

this is an incredible bit
California’s private insurers are abandoning homeowners and dodging payouts while padding executives’ pockets.

A public disaster insurance system would cover everyone automatically, spread risk fairly, and invest in disaster prevention.

i think “abolish ice, tear down the wall, build a 21st century ellis island” has the juice tbh
if i were in an office, the answer would be drafted to something like “there are obviously serious challenges with managing a border, but we have no reason to have a militarized border and enforcement regime, we can shutter ICE and reform the system to something more humane and civil.”
