Findependant former Project Manager trying to live the dream!
Have yet to meet anyone who admits to voting for him. Suggests there must be something smarmy going on.

True that.
And when Venezuela retaliates, people in Florida will be scrambling and begging for help to get home.

Unfortunately I know many who aren't smart and are indeed going to Florida and Arizona. Just can't cure stupid.
Most Canadians aren't stupid and know when to stay away from a fascist USA.

Especially if the Americans can brick them with OTA software. Apparently we don't even own the spare parts we order until they are installed in the planes. And we don't own or have access to the software/firmware either. What a joke! Who negotiated this crappy deal?
It is exactly what Canada needs.

Blinders off, the biggest threat to Canada is from South of the border.

If our military aircraft are concentrated at a few bases in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta, they will be easy to destroy.

Agree with most of this, except vehicles. Many many parts made here are assembled there, so a total boycott would be shooting ourselves in the foot.
tRump WILL let CUSMA expire! Stop supporting USA! No vacationing there, no buying their produce etc and most certainly not Vehicles manufacted in the USA! We survived pre NAFTA and we will again! #CanadaStrong #cdnpoli #CUSMA

We still have a few left. WIfe had a cold a few weeks back and sure enough, tested positive! The last box we have expires late next year. They are available for a price at pharmacies, but I agree: they should be free. Everything this useless government does is against people not connected. Unreal!
I would love know, while no free covid test could be found in Ontario since late 2023, when they say "expired items" is that Covid tests?? Covid tests that we still need and should still get free?? If so, criminal. 😡

The winery itself sucks. Looks like a hockey arena. Cold concrete and a shrine to the traitor. Boring! The Pellers need to change the name, drop Gretzky and warm the look. And some of the wine does suck, as does some of the distilled product.
Charlie- I agree with your Wayne assessment but disagree regarding the wine. It’s a good product and it’s made in Ontario with Ontario grapes. I suspect it’s an investment to him rather than a passion but the people who make it, believe in quality.

Good riddance. This guy should never have been an MP let alone a cabinet minister.

As much as possible.
Are you still buying Canadian?
When customers visited Lisa Pozin’s two #Vancouver gift shops earlier this year, they had buy Canadian on the brain.

“They were looking for the maple leaves ... and they were reading packages, even for things like soap, to make sure it was made in #Canada.”

Speak to any career counselor and they'll advise the average person will change careers about 6 times over their working life. No need to get twisted at this point, just make sure they have solid soft skills so they can transition to any opportunity presented to them.
Cool. But one of my kids wants to do work in waste management and the other wants to be a librarian. Friend’s twins want to be teachers. Where’s the support for that? Did anyone ask young people what they wanted? Or did we just decide that doesn’t matter anymore? #cdnpoli
As we build major projects that will transform our economy, we’re going to create thousands of high-paying careers in the skilled trades across the country.

Thank you PM Carney for your knowledgeable, measured, and respectful leadership. You’re solidly, and calmly navigating Canada in very turbulent economic and geo-political times. 🇨🇦💪🏻

Canada’s economic growth beat expectations this quarter.

We’re diversifying our trade, building big, and creating well-paying careers — and we’re getting results.

My Wife had successful ultrasound treatment by Dr. Lipsman for essential tremor in her right hand July 2023. We're waiting for her next appointment to remedy the tremor in her left hand. This is amazing non-invasive surgery & is useful for all sorts of conditions. The country needs more clinics!

Does anyone really trust these numbers? Trump and his cronies likely cooked them up.
A relief, and good news: September's jobs report was (finally!) released, and it shows a relatively healthy labor market.

Payrolls +119k, a bit stronger than expected, and definitely well above recession territory.

The unemployment rate rose a tick to 4.4%, continuing a slow but worrying trend.

Used to buy "organic ground beef" at Costco. No more, no idea whether it's actually organic or even safe to eat. Lots of homegrown products. I'd be happy if they barred US stuff from coming here.
Canada is creating a task force to monitor the safety of U.S. food imports after RFK Jr. cut 3,500 FDA staff. Weaker U.S. standards require increased monitoring and diligence for Canada, generating trade barriers and consumer distrust, resulting in economic damage for U.S. producers and farmers.
CFIA monitoring U.S. move away from science-based decision making, documents show
The ‘U.S. Risk Task Team’ will keep an eye on the impact of regulatory changes on food imports

Toyota, Lexus & Hondas made here. Some Chrysler minivans and some new Generation chargers and GM trucks, too, but I'll never buy another big 3 again. Lots of better choices.
