I watched a couple of films recently that have similar, but not identical themes. The first one is 'Keeper Of The Flame' (1942) with #KatherineHepburn and #SpencerTracy. The other one was 'The Notorious Landlady' (1962) with #JackLemmon, #FredAstaire and #KimNovak. Both films are worth a watch.

Stuck at home today in Cheshire. A good excuse to have another look at the garden Chaffinches. I hadn't realised just how colourfully marked they were on their backs. For #BirdsSeenIn2026

A new game: Name a song from the 70s with a girl's name in the title. Day 1, a girl's name starting with A. "Annie's Song" was written as an ode to John Denver's wife at the time, Annie Martell. He wrote the song in Jan 1973 in about 10 minutes while on a ski lift to the top of Aspen Mountain.
