How can one not be cheered up by seeing this lovely, cheery yellow rose? It is still blooming in my garden in the third week of November, so I had to share it with everyone who appreciates flowers.

Have a good weekend!

Is the blush of the meadows that feel themselves fair,
Is the lightning of beauty that strikes through the bowers..."

Two trees from my neighborhood from my walk this afternoon.

The one on the left has lost half its leaves, perhaps due to the sun. But they sure look pretty!

Ready for the holidays.
We are not too big on decorations. But I bought this wreath from a Boy Scout because I didn't have the heart to say no to the kid from my neighborhood. It sure is pretty, and my grandkids noticed when they came over last night.

Remembering Julia Robinson on her birthday. 🙌🏼
Mathematician Julia Robinson was born 106 years ago today. Her uncanny ability to connect seemingly unrelated parts of math theory to solve problems allowed her to create the conditions that ultimately cracked Hilbert's Tenth Problem.
