It's nice not to be force-fed the views of horrible* people.

Not sure who underrates this. Kinda-sorta source control, without source control. "WTF did I do..." compare todays code with last months. "Oh crap..." just restore it. Frequently helpful and occasionally life saving. Especially in places where source control culture is a bit lacking.
