#VSCode
Every time I open VSCode they seem to have added one more button or section dedicated to AI chatbots lol.

Great day at #ESPC. I spotted Demo Time in a couple of sessions and loved seeing how speakers used it to simplify their live coding flow. I also had a fantastic brainstorm. Energised and inspired. #demotime #vscode #speaking

Vitest 4.0.15 comes with a cool experimental feature: Imports Breakdown. Every module shows how long it took to load in UI and in the VSCode extension!

Pass down `--experimental.printImportBreakdown` to also see it in your terminal.

Been meaning to ask- do you use vscode, or is that one of the other Monaco-based editors?

I don’t think that’s the pitch, or at least it never has been for me. Perhaps if you’re strictly vibe coding. I always keep VSCode open to keep track of the current diff from the last commit to ensure nothing unexpected is happening.

I’m mentoring a teenager for a web development work experience thing & he was getting stressed out with VSCode - he told me it was changing his code as he wrote it. I checked his extensions. Turns out Copilot had been installed & activated by default. 😡 And it was breaking things constantly.

I'm doing some C# vibe coding and keep VS open for the editor experience and VSCode open to do the Claude Code work.

Ahhhh, these are so much more memorable and lifelike, I love it.
Discord kitty!! and the VScode Fish!! :D
last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

i'm very pleased about yowasp vscode extension actually being used for its intended purpose! i've kind of developed it and then thrown it onto the winds of fate

I kind of love how Microsoft's entire existence has been defined by making crappy copies of better software programs (Excel and VSCode excluded).

Brought to you by dealing with Microsoft Loop at work, which is basically "What If Notion, But Shittier?"

I get why VScode is there but it's so out of place compared to everything else
