“I wasn’t involved.”

Just who is the president?
Reporter: Do you support the second strike?

Trump: I still have not gotten a lot of information because I rely on Pete. I wasn’t involved. I hear the gentleman that was involved in that was extraordinary. I will let Pete speak about it.

LEAVITT: The latter. Secretary Hegseth authorized Admiral Bradley to conduct these kinetic strikes. He worked well within his authority and the law.

Executive meeting:

"Our competitor has a lousy product, the vast majority of people surveyed don't like it, and their leader is tired and disliked by a large majority of the customer base. But they have a catchy slogan. How should we compete?"

"Obviously we need a catchier slogan."
This will probably get me yelled at, because I can see the consensus forming here that "strong floors, no ceiling" is the dumbest of all possible slogans. I would argue that it's actually not that bad, but that it's wrong for this moment (please read 🧵before yelling at me)...

Who fucking cares?

There are other comedians worth learning and watching over this guy.
When a cancelled performer reënters the culture, we expect them to offer us a great work, channelling their newfound clarity into the finest art they’ve ever made. With his new comedy show and début novel, has Louis C.K. met the bar?

He did make them count.

Almost on one hand.
This is the second time since 2006 (at Arizona) the Bears won when their QB completed less than 50% of his passes and had a passer rating below 60. The other was the 2024 season opener.

The wind played a role tonight, but once again, Caleb Williams made his completions count.
