I would greatly enjoy a miniseries on the life of John Brown where he's played by Shea Wigham. I mean come on, that's Shea

I think being a conservator at a museum is probably the coolest job there is and one of the most rewarding, and I love that any skill under the sun can end up being critical to preserving history airandspace.si.edu/stories/edit...

I know Martin Caidin had a reputation for embellishment in his non-fiction but here's the thing: I don't care, the guy knew how to tell a fucking story

I have a very high tolerance for dry nonfiction so my perceptions are skewed here, but Milt Thompson's "At the Edge of Space" is one of the most "Old guy nextdoor tells you unbelievable stories with a twinkle in his eye" books I've ever read. Maybe doesn't feel like a movie, but def feels special

Would you like to know more about how the railway standardized everything from what time it is, to what and how we eat, to which construction materials we use, and more? Check out Nature's Metropolis. It's about Chicago but it's really about the way industrialized shipping invented modern society

The museum has two actually and one of them is airworthy already. The 2026 dates for the flights aren't up yet but they should be by early next year. Also they have shop cats that hang out in the restoration hangar

You've probably flown in a Tri-Motor before, but have you flown from one out of the site of Island Airways, the world's shortest airline? The museum that runs the flights also has an incredible collection on the defunct company. www.portclintonairport.com/history

This is why it's important, culturally, to watch Star Trek. If you don't you could end up a contestant on Project Runway and accidentally design a uniform for Admiral Janeway
