We’ve written to @london.gov.uk and @metecoban92.bsky.social as we are seriously concerned about the year-on-year increase of PM2.5 at many locations across London.

We’re urging the Mayor to speak up about #WoodBurning in London, right now.

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

💙 Breaking clean air news 💙London complied with clean air targets for the first time, 15 years after the deadline thanks to @london.gov.uk for implementing clean air policies. However, there’s no such thing as safe pollution. Europe is marching on to 20ug/m3 💙 Let’s march to clean air together 💙
A DEFRA report suggests London is now finally compliant with UK legal #AirPollution limits for nitrogen dioxide (NO2).

DEFRA reports that last year, London complied with the UK’s annual average legal limit of 40ug/m3 for NO2, 15 years after it should have.

Islington has a high number of white vans. Transition to cargo bikes will make a huge improvement to air quality.

Brewers paint shop in Islington deliver paint in a cargo bike reducing a considerable number of white van journeys of decorators going to pick up paint 💙🖼🖌
📈 Cargo bike use in London has doubled over two years!

🚲 A win for clean air - but diesel vans are the #1 source of NOx in central London.

💡 Authorities must back residents & small businesses with grants and secure storage for cargo bikes to keep momentum rolling.
