It looks like reason to be MP nowadays is to get a 2nd job and become rich. My suggestion is we pay our MPs more and forbid second jobs along with political donations. We should fund offices and elections via the state. Maybe then we will get motivated politicians free from the taint of being bought

When the old excuse of the power had to ‘travel up’ to Scotland has gone, why such high prices eg standing charge?
We need zonal pricing or at least parity. I’ve sent an FoI to Ofgem asking for documents explaining why this difference….also to 4 energy suppliers.
I feel a petition coming on….

It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

We need to BAN single use plastic.
We need to ban its export. Now.
UK’s exports of #pPasticPollution to developing countries soared by 84% compared to last year. EU have brought in a law to ban it.
Campaigners described it as “unethical and irresponsible waste imperialism”.

I’m more worried about #bees. Those we need to live.

They store carbon in their shells, so one of the most climate-friendly protein sources.

Cities light up the sky & that confuses birds. They fly toward the glow, circle in disoriented loops, & crash into glass buildings.
It’s estimated that up to 1 billion birds die this way every year across the U.S.
