The RPG discourse and takes are extenuating and, frankly, off-putting. I'm at the point where I'm getting more detached from my hobby and more into my day job, because the latter has positive outcomes and is non-toxic.
On the other hand I'm beginning to read papers on Sumer sorcery and that's nice.

How blissful it is to come from a culture (or class, or gender, etc) used to pointing the bayonet, and never know what it is to have the bayonets pointed at them.

The team behind Obojima not only don’t care about Ghibli outside of the aesthetic, they also fully do not understand it. They’re either complete buffoons or actively bad people and the truth likely lies in the middle.

I hate the bad habits, bad assumptions and bad expectations it generates
It was cool three years ago, but now I just want to stay away from it as much as possible
For every little thing it facilitates, it inserts some JS jank in its place
