Oh boy my first bluesky post! I hope I don't mess thi
Creating a new #godot algorithm that runs in process() hoping it will be fast, then benchmark testing it and seeing it's slower than an equal if statement... The joys of #gamedev

Also bonus #rainbow slime!

Working on some ability icons! Being a #solodev sometimes means breaking out the #aseprite

Though it definitely helps when the lovely artists on itch.io have good art I can purchase and jump off from!

Storing node info in the #Godot editor and saving it for later!

I definitely went overboard with this but the end result is pretty neat!

I think I might have found a solution to my "pixel perfect" issue! Now the UI and levels line up perfectly, and the character can still run around smoothly! Hurray 😄

Anyone have a better way to make the UI and game "pixel perfect" in #Godot?

Got my resource serializer working in #Godot! Excited to be able to save and load everything safely (unlike you, godot resource saving...) and easily!

A Dark Forest on Steam
A Dark Forest is an incremental idle horror about discovering the unknown within and without yourself. The world is dark and empty. So are you. Carve out a community of your own inside the dark forest...

Spent a couple of hours turning off parts of my project attempting to find the cause of the random process spikes. Then I opened a blank scene and it was still happening... turns out it's just the #godot editor??

Instead of _Manager try using _Wrangler/_Handler/_Herder. Evokes much better imagery, such as Character_Wrangler or Cat_Herder!

Having never had a Twitter account before. Navigating #bluesky has been interesting.

Is there etiquette for reposting/replying/dming?

Making a demo is the best! People can finally try the game!

Making a demo is the worst! It's so limited, and people can't yet discover all the cool things that will be in the full version!

Debugging the process calls in Godot can be challenging at best... With no clear-cut way to tell *which* process calls are slowing things down, I just have to start turning things off until it gets better...
