Cruz wouldn't talk like this if he didn't think it was over for Trump and by association, Vance.

He knows the House is lost. He’s already moved on to the Senate.

For thirty years I worked in the post-Soviet successor states in Central Asia and observed over and over again precisely the cycle that Bill Kristol describes. Corruption leads to authoritarianism, directly. The path is utterly predictable.

Seems like the sign worked.
Weird how many racists like to self-identify themselves as racists.

The times are not currently listed on the website: 10 am to 4 pm EST on both days. After each 90 minute lecture, a 30 minute Q&A.

Hope to see you then!
The next online installment of ESTIMATE: The Reduced Form is coming on Dec 11-12. I've continued to unify and expand regression-based methods to apply to exit, non-binary treatments, DDD, discrete outcomes, and more.

All proceeds to the MSU economics PhD program.

THAT'S LITERALLY HOW THE SUBSIDIES & ACA EXCHANGES WORK ALREADY.

CONSUMERS ARE INFORMED BY COMPARING POLICIES ON THE ACA EXCHANGES, THEN THEY PURCHASE ONE AND THE GOVERNMENT PAYS SOME OR ALL OF THE COST OF THAT POLICY.

I'M TEARING THE LITTLE HAIR I HAVE ON MY HEAD OUT.
Cassidy: "The president is proposing that we take the $26b that would be going to insurance companies if we just do an extension and give it directly to the American people in which 100% of the money is used for them to purchase healthcare on their own terms. That makes them an informed consumer."

I'm actually shocked. Good on Dana Bash for asking the question, and I genuinely would not have expected Greene to answer the way she did.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

In a surprise to everyone, MTG's redemption tour doesn't include "no longer being antisemitic"
BASH: Are you saying Israel is pushing Trump to cover up the Epstein files?

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: No. I simply just asked out loud

BASH: You had AIPAC up there. It's pretty clear which govt you were talking about

MTG: I'm questioning that govt in particular & questioning any other foreign govt

Apparently the lesson Brendan Carr learned from the Kimmel debacle is that he didn't actually have any consequences for abusing his power to violate the 1st Amendment, so he's just going to keep at it.

There was a poll the other day showing the bottom starting to fall out on Republican support for Trump. This seems both a consequence and a cause of that.

This is so so disturbing. Trump is now pardoning January 6th rioters for unrelated crimes, just to reward them for their violence to keep him in power.

The Republican Party is in the full time business of endorsing and incentivizing political violence. So scary.
