This and when you use gen ai you are not creating anything. You are using a computer to produce an image based on a prompt. There is ZERO creative expression in that image.
It is a mockery of what anyone’s creative brain can do if given the chance.

Every time I hear the excuse being anti-AI is ableist I think of this guy, Chuck Close. He was paralyzed and couldn’t hold a paint brush so he came up with wrist braces he could strap brushes to.

Millions of artists have overcome mental and physical obstacles to create.

I'm against gen Ai in art but imagine how life changing it might have been for some artists if they could sell the licence for their work to opt in then receive royalties every time their art's used. It pains me knowing how much has been stolen and devalued when a fair solution is right there.

None of the artists I know who are living from commission to commission are even close to comfortably well off. Asking people to pay what you know the skills you've honed are worth and what you need to survive is good and anyone who says otherwise is deeply unserious or hoping to exploit you.
