A lot of Tamsoft lately BUT THIS IS THE WORST GAME THEY'VE EVER MADE it's super short at least BUT IT FUCKING SUCKS! It also has way too long of a title how am I supposed to fit that within Twitch's title character limit?

Another one of the deceptively best characters is Kuon. All of her stats are average, yet she has the highest damage potential thanks to her unique passive which increases ATK by 75% when below 50% HP, and a hidden buff from one of her chain-attacks. These stack multiplicatively with other buffs...

One of the best teams in Zan consists of 4 Hakus, a character who has the lowest attack stat and no direct damage buffs. He's entirely a support unit yet he's one of the most effective in the roster because his support so heavily increases potential DPS of other allies- including his clones.

Free Missions are hit-or-miss but some of the later ones are just as great as Story Mode's best stages, but it's so fucked up that Zan's best content is hidden behind a mode that most people will likely never touch, or even know that they can play alone: Dream Arena.

And Utawarerumono: ZAN is complete!!! 😔 (except BP grinding but all actual content is complete)
Absolutely fantastic game, my only real complaint is its short length, being less than 30 hours for 100% (and I don't only mean achievements, less than 30 for EVERYTHING), and that's while playing slowly.

I still like Atuy more though... she may be less effective at pure damage dealing, but I find her playstyle way more fun and she has evasive options that the twins don't. They're definitely more effective than Atuy, but I've never been a huge fan of stationary characters, good or not.

And I can't even describe how fun boss fights are in text, you just have to see them yourself, but Mikazuchi especially? Absolutely worth completing all free-missions, he's not too difficult as long as you have good reaction time and prioritize breaking over raw damage, BUT HE'S SO FUCKING GOOD!!!

This is my favorite musou now and unless DW4 ends up even better I could see it staying in that spot for a long time. Crazy how the 2nd major game in the genre is one of its biggest peaks.

Looking at my list of games I played this year I'm only now realizing that I played almost no small indie games outside of the demos I streamed a few months ago. Of the few I played Mushroom Musume was definitely my favorite, fantastic raising sim with a super unique artstyle :)

Azumanga Daioh Puzzle Bobble:
This took me way more effort than it ever should have to set up and it's just Puzzle Bobble with an Azumanga Daioh skin (a series I'm not even that big of a fan of), but this is easily the most fun I've had with a Puzzle Bobble game. Not sure why this one hit so hard

I still haven't had time to go back for my original mode run, but everything about this game was perfect Castlevania for me: just the right length, some of my favorite stages and bosses in the series, and has one of my favorite game OSTs period, I absolutely love Moon Fight

It's really nice that Utawarerumono Zan is so short since I started during a time where I absolutely haven't had the time to play it consistently, but also fuuuuuck it's so good why is it already almost over ;-;

Mask of Deception's final 1/3rd has dragged out slightly longer than I expected (not necessarily in a bad way, the story itself is still great) I don't think I'll finish it before Monday. Either way we're finishing Utawarerumono Zan's story mode next stream, I can't delay it any further 😔
