Absolutely fantastic game, my only real complaint is its short length, being less than 30 hours for 100% (and I don't only mean achievements, less than 30 for EVERYTHING), and that's while playing slowly.

Absolutely fantastic game, my only real complaint is its short length, being less than 30 hours for 100% (and I don't only mean achievements, less than 30 for EVERYTHING), and that's while playing slowly.

Maybe I was wrong, maybe Uruuru & Saraana are better than Atuy...
Biggest glass cannons of all time, getting unlucky with enemy targeting makes them borderline unusable, but if you can at least start a light-combo or build up enough zeal for a few chain-attacks they insta-wipe everything!

I am streaming today (my provider won't have an outage in the middle of stream like earlier this week I promise) but I'm pushing back stream start time until Serenity's stream is finished because he's my friend and I missed his return stream oopsies. Go watch my friend's stream until then :)

It's really nice that Utawarerumono Zan is so short since I started during a time where I absolutely haven't had the time to play it consistently, but also fuuuuuck it's so good why is it already almost over ;-;
It definitely doesn't overstay its welcome like WAS did, but I almost wish it did 😔

Mask of Deception's final 1/3rd has dragged out slightly longer than I expected (not necessarily in a bad way, the story itself is still great) I don't think I'll finish it before Monday. Either way we're finishing Utawarerumono Zan's story mode next stream, I can't delay it any further 😔

Utawarerumono Zan is sooooo fucking good! Utawarerumono Zan is sooooo fucking good! Still reading through Mask of Deception, but I have made enough progress to be able to get a bit further into Utawarerumono Zan on stream tomorrow. Something I've realized though is that not only does Zan skip over large portions of the story, but it also changes some elements in very strange ways??

I'm trying to make progress in Mask of Deception before next Utawarerumono Zan stream that way I can get through more of Story Mode since most side-content is locked behind it anyways, and wow Zan's story really does just skip over everything not directly related to battles...

Utawarerumono Zan first thoughts: very good I like this game, well worth the wait :)
Combat isn't as fluid feeling as most Koei musous, it's a bit more rigid but I think the difference in focus makes that feel much less bad than it would be in some other traditional musous-
