France announced today it’s phasing out Teams, Zoom, etc. to be replaced with a French/European solution called Visio. The data is hosted on Outscale. Transcripts and subtitles are also handled by French providers. The target is set on 2027 for government agencies.

Yup. I lived in Paris for five months, and protests were just part of daily life. I was really struck by it since protests had been relatively rare here, but the French people I knew didn’t think it was a big deal at all. They’ve normalized expressing dissent in a way we never have.
That's one of the things that is generally different from the US and France. France has a public that is socialized to accept protest. It's like bad weather annoying but you work around it. The US media has spent half a century treating protest as violence that you shouldn't have to deal with
