Hey #gamedev #indiedev, pretty cool to see all these accessibility awards flying around eh? Would be handy if someone made a list of what and when they all are and when to submit, right?

Awards season is the best time of the year. So much blood sweat and tears goes on behind the scenes from so many people to make accessibility a reality, it always makes me so happy to see people publicly recognised for it.

Congratulations to everyone nominated!!

And selfishly very happy to see one of our games being nominated alongside titles who've done amazing work in the #accessibility field this year.

Knowing that lots of those games had friends working on them, it feels like a big family picture <3

My partner Bea got to talk about gaming with adhd for Gaming Accessibility Conference #GAConf 2025.

Incredibly proud of her. She could talk on this subject all day (probably whilst playing Hades II… and/or Baldurs Gate 3)

i played a bit of Air Riders with some of the accessibility settings turned on and it was a MUCH more enjoyable experience (especially the higher FOV and less stuff on the screen), so i pulled the trigger and pre-ordered the game 🙈

Looking for examples of national (scoped to a single country) gamedev awards that have an accessibility category. So far have ADGA (Aus), Pavs (NZ), Pégases (France), Premios Iris (Spain), and MCV Develop/TIGA/Develop Stars (UK). Anyone know of any others?

today played an unplayable game and I must say when I tried without any of the game’s accessibility features… it really was unplayable haha.

once I started turning on the features, it became really fun to play!

well done @badgameszip.itch.io ! looking forward to your future games!
an unplayable game?! on Steam
a game about accessibility settings that's just a *bit* too hard for you to play effectively. 10-15 minutes in length with 30+ minutes of developer commentary!

I have said before that Accessibility does not equal easy modes, but it can help. Difficulty modes are just one part of what can make a game accessible to more players. So Konami adding a Casual mode allows more players to play the game is accessibility. So accessibility FTW.

For this Indie Spotlight Marijn played An Unplayable Game?!

Limited controls and a few assists turn this free game into a thoughtful exercise in accessible game design. Showing that accessibility isn't about removing challenge, but making it possible.

Before #Oppidum 🍃comes to Nintendo Switch this December, we want to remind all the accessibility options available in the game.

From the design phase, we had in mind that Oppidum had to be enjoyable for the greatest number of people possible.

100% this

It’s 2025 why are disabled gamers still having to wait until the last second to make an informed purchase!
The Outer Worlds 2 is less than a week away, but I can't seem to find much information about the accessibility in the game!

@obsidian.net do we have some updated information? 👀

The accessibility in your other games has been on point, and I hope this will follow suit!
