I like how the rules of media sanewashing have a paradoxical effect. Trump doesn’t simply fuck up his speech; he only “appears to” because the rules dictate we have to leave room for the possibility he’s announcing a campaign to acquire the sovereign nation of Iceland—another NATO ally—as well.

Every time he's allowed a global platform, he just absolutely crashes out in a stream of American Exceptionalism. It's formulaic at this point: historical revisionism, gross over-simplification, massive inflation of self-importance, and a lot of insulting.

Also, what's Homan's stance on transporting detainees miles outside city limits in freezing conditions and stranding them to walk back? Does that qualify as a short detainment, as they are not within a holding cell or with other detainees? Does that fall under probable cause detention?
