Once upon a time there was a popular kids' programme on TV called Jackanory. For 30 years children watched in wonderment. But now it looks like the final page has been turned on one of the BBC's most enduring . . .

100% endorse everything Michael says here about his hopes for the new #LineOfDuty, especially on not dropping the whole series on iPlayer. A week of speculation just heightens the experience. I can't wait; I definitely feel a rewatch of series 1-6 coming on.

The long close to the first edition might seem familiar.

Random Christopher Price moment - as he was about to interview a member of the medical profession :

"I've been a Doctor Who fan my whole life, and I never thought I'd get the chance to do this..."

<turns to guest>

"DOK-TORRR!"

<guest looks nonplussed>

We lost him far too bloody soon.

I was today years old when I discovered that the iconic "Un, dos, tres" actually became famous beyond Spain and got versions in other countries.

I'm too young for that game show, but it still has that good-old cult status over here and I managed to watch its last iteration circa 2004.
It's the 321st day of the year today, so in celebration of this, here's the time that Ted Rogers opened the original version of the show "Uno, Dos, Tres" on Spanish TV, using the English 321 titles including the Yorkshire TV Ident zooming into Dusty Bin.
