Exiled from the Bird Site for taking the fight to the terrorists. Actually pretty friendly when not dealing with extremists and whackos. Still, I've got something to make just about anybody mad.

Joke of the day from Moscow: Russia tried to unveil its first humanoid AI robot, Aidol. Key word: tried. The robot collapsed during its debut, forcing organizers to cut the presentation short. Their rushed attempt to lift the prop only made things worse.

I can't tell you how many interviews I've done where I've been asked: If Trump's policies are so problematic, why are U.S. stocks rising so rapidly.
A bit of international context illustrates the real issue here.
U.S. stocks have dramatically underperformed other advanced economies.

What is the point of international law regarding warfare if the end result is that aggressors (Russia, Gaza, etc) are free to ignore the rules and target civilians while the defenders have to play nice?

I've been skeptical about the microplastic claims and looks like skepticism was the right choice, as usual. Looks like roughly 90% bullshit.

Love how the headline suggests the UK is stepping up when they are actually cutting support by 15%. Bet you don't see many people on BlueSky complaining, either.

It's pretty funny how the Dems finessed it pretty well so that The Public would largely blame The Other Guys for the shutdown, but now are tearing on each other like rabid dogs.

Hard to tell how many people on here realize the Dems were keeping 42 million Americans from getting their SNAP benefits and how many are just pretending they don't know that.

I think they do have a bottom, and they are showing it to you now.
Well, my health insurance just more than quadrupled. It’s more than my mortgage now. For one person. Must be nice to have taxpayers pay your top-notch health insurance for life while actively making decisions that hurt them. Y’all have no bottom.

The Dem base is just always pissed off about whatever stupid thing, so there's nothing to worry about here
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

So many women come out swinging in their dating profiles. "You'd better not be the kind of man that --", "One thing I absolutely cannot tolerate is --", etc, etc.
Honey, we're already in a fight and we're not even talking yet. What do you think that tells me about you?

Among my dating app red flags: if your profile says "If you voted for Trump, swipe left", or "Libs should swipe left" or anything like that. I'm fine to talk politics but just not interested in sharing my life or even spending time with someone whose brain has been broken by partisanship.
