Been thinking a lot on current EV market dynamics, and would like to flesh out things in a bit more depth soon, but while others use framing like “between two waves,” I think the shift is more substantial and multifaceted.

I like to think we’re in middle of EV 2.5.

We decided we weren’t going to hold our elites accountable for their actions.

It shouldn’t be lost in all this that the case fell apart because Fani Willis similarly believed she was unaccountable to the law and societal standards of ethical conduct.
Fani Willis's Georgia case against Trump has been dropped.

For the rest of our lives, we will have to explain to the next generations how it is that Donald Trump and his cronies could have been allowed to get away with what they did after the 2020 election.

Having seen the response from OEMs in response to policy changes from the Trump Administration, I’m inclined to agree with Scaringe here.

The EV tax credit’s end is particularly dangerous for Rivian’s most direct competitors, like Stellantis (Jeep) and Subaru.

I was only at the game for 2.5 quarters yesterday*, but what I witnessed may have been the single best performance by a Vandy player in my ~20 years of fandom.

Dems have absolutely no shot at GA-14, but given Georgia’s special election procedures and almost-certain runoff, it’s hard to see that seat filled before May.

I don’t give serious odds to the TN seat flipping, but Mike Johnson is likely looking at a slim 219-214 majority from Feb-April.
